Description
Looking to add some serious musical flair—and maybe a little bit of chaos—to your event? I’ve got you covered. I offer a wide range of live music services, from captivating solo performances to dynamic collaborations with Shane in The Low Tide Project. Together, we bring energy, versatility, and a rebellious spirit that’s hard to beat. Think Sonny and Cher, but with more horns, fewer wardrobe changes, and way more miles on the road.
With extensive touring experience under our belts—playing countless gigs from dive bars to major festivals—we know how to keep the crowd engaged, th
... e energy high, and the backstage snacks plentiful. Trust me, after touring that much, I can perform in my sleep… although I probably wouldn’t recommend it. Whether it’s soulful sax fills, lively clarinet solos, or me trying to channel my inner Neil Young—minus the grizzled beard and the tendency to go electric—we aim to make every gig unforgettable.
I can fill in on alto sax or clarinet, adding those rich, soulful layers that make your event stand out. Need a vocalist? I got you. I can step in for theater productions, bands, or any performance that needs a voice—whether it’s to send shivers down your spine, give you goosebumps, or just make sure everyone’s having a good time. Honestly, my vocals are only good enough to make you wish for a little more—results may vary. But hey, I do my best, just like Bob Dylan trying to keep it together after too many cigarettes.
And speaking of legends—Neil Young once said, “It’s better to burn out than to fade away”—well, I’m just trying not to burn out before the next gig. As for Janis Joplin, she’d probably tell me to keep singing and forget the critics.
From weddings and parties to corporate events and theater gigs, I aim to deliver entertainment that’s memorable—whether that’s because of the music or the fact that I’m cracking jokes in between. With years on the road and a passion for live performance, I know how to keep your guests entertained, relaxed, and maybe even laughing. I promise to bring professionalism, talent, and just the right amount of mischief to make your event truly unforgettable.
So, whether you want smooth jazz, gritty rock, or just someone who’s been around the block enough times to make it interesting—let me bring my musical talents (and maybe a few jokes about legends) to your next event. After all, good music is important, but a good laugh? That’s priceless
Biography
I’ve been tearing up stages and touring coast to coast for over 20 years — from gritty dive bars to festival main stages. My musical journey started early, inspired by watching my Aunt Serena Ryder crush it as a singer-songwriter. My dad, a guitar player and drummer with enough grit to shake the walls, showed me that persistence, a little sass, and a whole lot of passion can get you pretty far.
In 2012, I starred in Load Up, a raw tour documentary that gives a no-holds-barred look at life on the road. It still streams on various platforms. Then in 2016, I appeared in Low Down Tracks, wh
... ich won the Audience Choice Award at Hot Docs and became part of the national social work curriculum—because nothing hits closer to home than a film that shines a light on real struggles.
Since 2020, I’ve balanced my love for music with humanitarian work—outreach, harm reduction, reversing overdoses—because saving lives between gigs is just part of my grind.
These days, I’m making magic with Shane in The Low Tide—a project born from meeting in the music scene, finding love, and creating soulful, gritty sounds that resonate deep. We’re out there, connecting with audiences and pouring our hearts into every note. Whether I’m rocking the stage with Shane or doing solo gigs, I bring authenticity, humor, and enough attitude to keep everyone engaged. Touring’s a wild ride, but I believe in making every hell-raising, soul-stirring moment count.
Inspired by legends like Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Janis Joplin, I serve up a potent mix of soulful grit, raw energy, and unapologetic attitude. Good music, good laughs, and making real connections—that’s what I’m all about. Whatever the gig—weddings, corporate events, theater—I bring professionalism, swagger, and enough grit to leave a lasting impression.

Meet the Act
Katt: Hi there! I’m Katt — a Toronto girl who’s been making music and connecting with audiences for over twenty years. I’ve played everything from cozy dive bars to huge festivals, always bringing my soulful voice and a bit of attitude. I also spent 10 years as a scheduled musician for the TTC — serenading strangers on the subway! Nothing like performing for a captive audience of commuters to build up a thick skin. Before that, I spent 12 years touring coast to coast with my folk band, and let me tell you, we were especially loved in Quebec and Newfoundland — apparently, folk music
... and poutine or seafood really hit the right note. Growing up, I watched my Aunt Serena Ryder light up stages, and my dad, a guitar and drum guy with plenty of grit, showed me what real passion looks like. I bring the sass, the heart, and stories that will make you smile.
Shane: Shane is a true multi-instrumentalist — he plays mando, banjo, guitar, lap steel, harmonica, violin, and even double bass. Basically, he’s a musical Swiss Army knife. Think of him as a mix between The Doors’ Ray Manzarek and a one-man band with a whole lot of charm. He’s led two legendary rock bands, and his stories are as deep as a Grateful Dead jam. Shane’s love for music is contagious, and his ability to jump between instruments makes every song feel special — and maybe a little unpredictable. Trust me, he’s the kind of guy who makes you forget he’s not a rock star (even if he insists he’s just here to have fun).
Our Story: So, here’s the fun part — Shane and I first met when I was opening a show, singing my heart out. I was probably channeling Janis, Neil, and Dylan all at once. We hit it off, and a few years later, after both of us had recently been single, we realized that the sparks we’d both felt years earlier hadn’t quite gone out. We fell in love, and decided to channel all that chemistry into this project — a soulful, sometimes goofy, totally genuine mashup of our stories, voices, and shared love for music.
Oh, and did I mention? I spent 12 years touring coast to coast with my folk band — and was especially loved in Quebec and Newfoundland. Nothing beats performing in those places; the crowds are warm, passionate, and always ready to sing along.
Together, Shane and I pour our hearts into every performance — full of energy, honesty, and a little bit of fun. Whether we’re tearing up the stage or just jamming for the love of it, our connection is real, and we’re here to make sure you leave with a smile, maybe a good story, and that warm feeling of hanging out with some friends who really care. Thanks for being part of our journey!
