Description
The Settlers present a full two hour concert or Cabaret programme to suit the occasion. The show is part unashamed nostalgia from the Pop / Folk era of the 60's and 70's , part tunes from the 80's including well loved songs by artists such as James Taylor and John Denver and part self-penned material in a modern Pop / Folk style. The Settlers recreate the intricate vocal harmony and acoustic sound they were famous for. The stage show is very much a full audience experience presented with humour and participation.

Biography
The group became known as the Settlers after their first single, "Settle Down" in the 60's
Their most successful record, "The Lightning Tree" (helped along due to its use as the theme tune of the British TV series 'Folly Foot), reached the UK singles charts in 1971.
Shortly after recording a religious album I Am Your Servant in 1973 Cindy Kent left the band and later released a solo single "I Only Want To Be In The World" on the Beeb label in 1975. Steve Somers-Smith joined in 1975 after winning ATV's 'New Faces' as a singer/songwriter with his own song 'Mavis Brown'.
Patty Vetta, well k
... nown on the British folk club circuit supplied the female voice to the Settlers acoustic/harmony vocal sound and like Steve Smith stayed with the group until the groups demise in the early 80's.
Steve & Patty continued to work together on TV and Radio for many years until Steve moved to France in 2005.
In 2015 Steve moved back to UK and found he was living near Patty and her husband Tony Harris, conversations ensued and a plan was formed to re establish the old band. Dave Smith was asked to join as a well respected face on the folk circuit. In summer 2018 The Settlers were reborn.
