Biography

I am a 38 year old musician with over three decades of experience performing. I am a solo pianist, music director, and have worked in many band configurations. I studied music composition in college and have also continued my education in summer programs at Oxford, England and at Princeton University. I am currently enrolled in a graduate certificate course at The Juilliard School in NYC.
Professionally I am an organist and director of music in a large church and am also a staff accompanist at The University of Tennessee. I work with students preparing their final recitals in an academi ... c setting. These environments are very classical in nature and I am looking for new opportunities to do what I love more: playing for people that are having fun.
I am sought out locally as a cocktail party pianist with a particularly adept imagination at providing the perfect music for an event. My approach is that I am musically interacting with guests to make sure they are having the best time possible.
I have been music director for several theater productions and am well known as a voice coach. I enjoy preparing other musicians for an excellent show. I also have a great deal of experience in composition and arranging for various ensembles, particularly jazz and orchestra.
Basically, I can play anything. I am looking to take a next step to share my music with others and to add to the memories that we all make along the way.
