“Mesmerising” is how Truan’s contact juggling skills are most often described by his audiences. Building on his core discipline Truan has combined this with dance and comedic physical theatre to create stage acts and walkabout sets. Biography

Truan trained at Britain’s two leading circus institutions, The National Centre for Circus Arts and Circomedia, studying to a First BA Honours level (yes Truan has a degree in throwing balls around and pulling faces…). Prior Truan was a gardener and a DJ and since he has travelled internationally from China to the United Emirates, from his mum’s back garden to the Spanish coastline among many other places, spreading smiles wherever he can.

Truan has over 10 years of performing internationally both solo and with ensembles with companies such as those listed below and at events such as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Glastonbury Music Festival. This has included performing across street theatre festivals, cabaret, tv adverts, corporate parties and almost everything in between.

Truan comes from a rural mid-Wales family where a job in the arts didn’t only seem improbable, it wasn’t even on the radar… And much to his surprise at the ripe old age of 27 they let him into a circus school where he learnt he could get a surprising amount of laughs out of people doing idiotic things in quite an impressive way, where his years of practicing useless things turned out to really pay off… And now he travels the world getting paid for it. Winner.
He has a penchant for ball manipulation (of almost any size), drinking tea and dancing at any opportunity…
