Biography

Indiana Producer, Singer/Songwriter and Performer, Ty Causey appeared on the music scene in the late 1990's as a Vocalist for Smooth Jazz Saxophonist Najee. Causey co-wrote and performed on Najee's 1998 "Morning Tenderness" CD which landed him the opportunity as a featured Performer on Najee's World Tour. Ty shared the stage with many notable contemporary jazz artists such as: Joe Sample, Norman Brown, Pieces Of A Dream and many more.
As a Solo Artist, the music of Causey is a combination of Smooth Jazz, Sensual Soul/R&B and a taste of Classic Funk.Ty's silky smooth vocals and deep lyrics ... compliment the soulful melodic production of his music. Since his debut in 2004 Ty has been building a significant discography. He has released 16 original self produced CDs under his own Independent record label "Tyvonn Records". His music has established him as a serious player on the Soul and Smooth Jazz music scene in the US, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Canada and the United Kingdom earning him the nickname "Mr. Consistent"
Ty's music has appeared on various soul charts and he has been nominated several times for "Male Vocalist Of The Year" and "Song Of The Year" on leading on-line music site SoulTracks.com. Causey continues to record new projects and performs with his live band and as a Solo act sharing the stage with notable R&b/Smooth Jazz artists such as: Jonathon Butler, Najee, Glenn Jones, Isley Brothers, Big Robb, Boney James, Babyface, After 7, Miles Jaye and other artists of his genre style.
