The members of Under the Canopy grew up with guitars in their hands. The duo has been playing for three years and has performed at many different type of events and venues. They easily adapt and love involving the crowd for a more memorable experience.

Meet the Act

Gwen
This song bird has been writing lyrics since she was 11 and has written over 20 songs. Ever since she learned music could be her career, she took it in full swing and now she has been singing and playing professionally for 4 years. She studied at American River Collage where she got her AA degree in Music Recording and started Canopy Productions. When not occupied preforming live, Gwen is diligently working on Under The Canopy's first album 'Light Up My Room.'
Joseph
Joe has been a passionate guitar player since the age of seven. He decided to study music and it's industry at Le ... e University where he perfected his guitar playing and theory knowledge. Now that he is back residing in his hometown, he is a full time musician where his time consists of mixing bands, teaching guitar, composing and performing live. He has no greater passion than music and sharing it with the people he loves.
Travis
Travis is the newest member of under the Canopy and the utility player in the group. He has a captivating voice and plays flat-picking guitar, piano, bass, accordion, mandolin, banjo and harmonica. Travis developed his musical talents while attending The School of the Blind. Currently, he is working with the rest of the group to finish some bluegrass tunes sure to come your way.
The musicians in Under The Canopy grew up in the same neighborhood and bonded over their shared passions for writing lyrical melodies to the strum of a guitar. Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band and over the years have grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences. They are currently recording their first album 'Light Up My Room' that showcases songs written while growing up.
They co-operate Canopy Productions which offers Recording and Live Sound services to other Musicians and music lovers alike. They are equip with all the gear needed to run a stage for up to 2500 audience members! This group wants to make a positive impact in the world through the use of Music and Art. The pair often lends a hand to fundraisers for local businesses, community events and is always looking to get involved with good causes. 'Canopy' refers to a layer in the rainforest that offers life shelter.
