Proficient on all types of unicycle, including giraffe, freestyle, 3 wheel, zigzag, ultimate wheel and miniature ( world’s smallest unicycle),
Yonnas has performed on several cruise ships and toured internationally with Cirque Mother Africa and the Ethiopian National Circus. He has now graduated from NICA with a Bachelor of Circus Arts.
Biography
Yonnas Gebremedhin Bio
Yonnas was born in Ethiopia and started circus at the age of 10. He trained Tumbling, Icarian Games, Pitching, Unicycle and Juggling with Ethiopian circus. 2005-2008 Yonnas toured to Europe and USA. Then in 2008 he joined Circus Mother Africa and toured internationally performing his unicycle and bounce juggling acts.
he studied the Bachelor of Circus Arts degree at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA). During his study he received the 2014 Certificate of excellence, 2011 Sir Rupert Hammer Award and the Student Services Achievement Awards from Swinburne Unive
... rsity of Technology. He also represented NICA & participated in Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain, France in 2013.
In 2014, Yonnas performed in the Nanjing Project at the Arts Centre, Melbourne biggest circus Festival. After graduating from NICA, Yonnas secured a contract with P&O Cruises and performed his world class bounce juggling act as a ‘Pacific Cirque’ performer.
Later on he went on Australians television commercial advertisement for Honda jazz car company. In late December 2015 yonnas was chosen by a talent agency to present his performance in Dubai for the New Years Eve.
In February 2016 yonnas is offered a contract to perform his first time 45 minutes of his own headline show for princess cruise ship.
