Description

I have a big repertoire of rock/metal/blues/pop/dance/oldies/80's/90's songs , I can sing backing vocals, I can entertain the crowd with some stick tricks and stage acting. I did many workshops and seminars with 10-200 people, and I can play air guitar :)

Biography

Born in 1968 and raised in Istanbul. As a self taught drummer his journey in music has began in high school band SETH in 1986 and they got two record deals. Joined the cult hard rock band WHISKY in 1991, did 5 albums and many concerts and TV shows. Joined the first theatral/wedding/ top 40/ oldies band RAPSODI in 1999. Played and recorded with SiBEL TUZUN (rock and pop diva) , Erkin KORAY (psychodelic rocker), ALPAY (he is the Turkish Julio IGLESIAS) Joined turkish cult front man Gur AKAD's band in 2002, joined guitar virtuoso Cem Koksal in 2005, made two big tours, last one with Joe Lynn Turn ... er (Rainbow/Malmsteen/D.Purple vocalist) and recorded a live CD/DVD, joined pop rock band YUKSEK SADAKAT in 2007 recorded two hit albums and represented Turkiye in Eurovision 2011, started the guitar virtuoso project GiTARiZMA (Turkish version of Satriani's G3) produced and host a live radio program in 2013, organised conceptual concerts with different bands, played with 4 bands a night and called it The Birthday Marathon. Played with tribute bands of Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Dio, Thin Lizzy & Gary Moore, Cozy Powell. Played in the musical "Fiddler on The Roof" and some Turkish musicals. Experience

My wedding, top 40, oldies, musicals, napolitens, 80's and 90's band is still working since 1999. I've played in many hard Rock/Metal/Blues Rock/ Classic Rock and tribute bands and projects. I've been in 10-12 concert tours with tour bus. Played in stadiums, sport arenas, open air festivals, broadcast events, TV shows, video clips with playback or in small clubs. I know how to deal with any kind of stages. I can repair my gear and use the right tools for the right situation.

Meet the Act

started as a self thaught drummer, I have played over my favourite records on the bed with a pair of wooden sticks (not drum sticks:) I loved music so much and practiced 4-5 hours a day in my room and even in the school where a broken drum set was. A guitarist friend of mine teach me the drum notation and I begin to teach drums in my drum shop. My cult hard rock band got famous after a TV show and I deceided to give up with my study at the university of arts. Besides hard rock music I began to play commercial music in bars and weddings. I met with great Turkish musicians in time and they liked ... my drumming and personality. People like my sound, my groove, my gear selection, my attitude and my show during the act. I can easily drive the band I'm in. I'm a visual drummer and the crowd enjoy to watch my drumming. But I never steal the main act on stage I know how and where to put my show in. I've been teaching drums since 1993 and I have a very easy and unboring programm for anybody at any level and age. You can choose a more techically way or a more players way to begin. Best way to learn the instrument is understanding the language of music and the fundamentals of the instrument. How to sit, how to grip, how to listen, how to understand without boring the student. I use many songs that everbody knows for my examples during the lesson. I speak Turkish, English and German.
