Biography

A young boy from Invergordon in the north of Scotland: I joined the military when I was 17 years old and soon learned how to play the bagpipes after completing my basic infantry training and then going to ‘The Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming’.
I was very quick to learn and with a lot of hard work and dedication I was soon playing with The Highlanders Pipes and Drums at large events such as The Edinburgh tattoo, my first one been in Sydney, Australia back in 2005.
Over a long career of over 20 years I have been very lucky to have played in locations all over the wo ... rld which I am very grateful for. I have played for royalty at Buckingham palace, went back to ‘The Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming’ as an instructor and also took the bagpipes to Iraq and Afghanistan when we deployed on tour with the battalion.

Jason is an extremely professional, friendly and talented piper who completely enhanced our elopement style wedding last week at Glencoe Lochan. He went above and beyond, even accompanying us to the mountains afterwards in the pouring rain for the BEST atmospheric memories and photos we could have wished for. Thank you so much Jason! A huge thank you to Jason. I was on holiday staying on the shores of Little Loch Broom with some friends. I've always loved the Highlands and wanted my friends to experience listening to the pipes in this wonderful setting. Jason was lovely. He turned up in time but unfortunately the midgies were horrendous that evening. So, after I suggested we move up the hill to the viewpoint with spectacular panoramic views Jason was more than happy to accommodate. As it happens the event was absolutely perfect. The music, the piper himself and the scenery was spectacular. Thank you Jason. You were amazing
