Biography

Versatile Drummer Daleton J. Lee grew up in a musical household. Father, Herman Lee, mother Rozina Lee (deceased 2020) were the artistically supportive drive in his life. Both being musicians themselves, from Gospel to jazz, were connected heavily in Music education and were able to place Daleton in the best Arts programs at an early age. Summer JAzz Workshop, founders Bubbha Thomas and Legendary Band director and musician Conrad O. Johnson from the great Kashmere High school. Parker Elm. is where grade school began in Houston where he shared classes and choir standing next to THE Beyonce Know ... les which whom he'd end up sharing another year with at the High school for the Performing and Visual Arts, where he studied jazz performance, pop, classical, and Broadway style shows, Daleton grew up playing along side such amazing artist as legendary Vibraphonist, Harry Sheapard Robert Glasper, Helen Sung, Mike Moreno, Kendrick Scott, Walter Smith, Tamar Davis.
Mentors included drummers such as Chris Dave, Eric Harland, Craig Green, Mark Simmons Sr., Todd Harrison, Sebastian Whittaker, and Joel Fulgham.
Lee really made his mark in the early 2000s in Houston as one of the top 5 drummers in the major city. Also, being featured in Houstonia Magazine in 2014 Lee continues to strive for his mark as a band leader and writer.

Experience

I am a very well versed drummer who can lead and also help do some sound and lighting.
I am a visuals type of person who understands that making the stage look amazing is at least 80 percent of the gig. then there's fashion and how we sound. It all matters.
