Jade Brave is Owner/performer for Blazin Entertainment from Boise, Idaho . She captivates audiences with her fire/LED dance performances. Using spin fans, poi, silk fans and buugeng. Jade has been dancing on stage for hundreds of people from a young age and loves to share her artform to inspire those around her. She is currently training in aerial arts. Using pole, silks and lyra.

Biography

What’s my background?
I have been a dancer most of my life. Starting from the age of 4, I was performing choreographed dances on stage for hundreds of people. All thanks to my incredible teachers and my supportive parents who drove me to practice countless times. I continued to dance in college briefly with the BYU-I Hip Hop dance team. When I moved to Boise it was hard to miss the incredible flow community here. I picked up poi and pushed myself to learn a new thing. From there, I started to find my own self-expression with flow arts and prop manipulation.
Why I started prop manipulat ... ion?
I met a friend, Kevin, at a local music festival who was spinning poi and selling his own props that he designed. I bought my first pair. To support a friend and artist, but also because I was SO MESMERIZED by the way they look when they spin. Since then, I became engulfed in the local fire spinning community and practiced and practiced… and practiced. For the past 7 years.
How do I prepare for a show?
When I am chosen to perform for an event, it’s the beginning of a creative explosion. Thinking and visualizing and feeling what it will be like. I take into consideration the audience, the setting, down to the time of year or where the moon is in its cycle. I love to create a unique look for every event. Specialized performances like this come from a small company… someone with a personal touch and dedication to her craft.
