When it comes to your your event Jake and Ian are the perfect band to provide live music and entertainment. From beautiful acoustic sets to a high-energy performance to get the dance-floor rocking, we’re ready to support your requirements.
After formalities, we turn the party lights on, kick the energy levels right up, and the dance-floor becomes the focus. We are not the shy type of entertainment that plays background music all night – our live energy and audience interaction starts the party from the word go, and will blow your guests away, getting everyone up on the dance floor. Biography

JAKE MADDOCKS
Jake is a singer-songwriter that has an incredible talent, one that has seen him support The Saturdays, Example and Matt Cardle. Previously signed to EMI, Jake has performed to over 250,000 people at the UK’s most popular arenas.
In 2017 Jake completed a contract with Carnival Cruise Line in the USA, part of the cast for Musical Theatre production show ‘America Rocks’ touring the world and fronting an amazing live band across America.
Following being signed to a dance label on his return from the US and meeting Ian Hughes who remixed one of the tracks for its relea ... se on OpenHouse Records, ‘Jake & Ian’ was born, performing at venues such as Symphony Hall, weddings at Peckforton Castle and Birstmorton Court, through to securing corporate events with Colgate and NHS with 5-star reviews across the board.
With a truly unrivalled voice, great confidence and a warm sense of humour, your guests will enjoy the energy, interaction and performance Jake will bring to your event.
IAN HUGHES
A Birmingham born musician, studying the piano from an early age. Ian has a love of piano, guitar and drums and has played the instruments throughout his career. In later years, following a keen interest in music technology and production, Ian went on to become Sales Director for Roland (UK) one of the world’s leading music technology organisations.
Ian has developed as a skilled music producer, writing with artists in the UK and Canada and working with the finest mastering engineers, which have led to several label signings and having his music featured in a number of US films.
He was runner up in the ISC 2016 International Songwriting Competition, for the song Summer Rain co-written with William Makrigaini as voted for by Lorde and Bastille and has regularly featured on BBC Introducing in the last two years.
Ian is a proud father of two young children, a director of a successful software agency and one half of Jake & Ian performing and DJ’ing at prestigious venues across the UK, enjoying performing for magical ceremonies and ‘live lounge’ style acoustic sets through to filling dance-floors up and down the country with infectious party sets featuring of the best in pop, soul, RnB and dance music utilising the latest PA technology and stage lighting.

From our first meeting to the end of our wedding day nothing was too much trouble for you. Discussing so openly and constructively with us on our requirements and even learning new songs for our special day. You created an atmosphere that will remain in our memories forever. We cannot recommend you highly enough and once again thank you for making our day so complete.

These guys are not just two exceptionally talented musicians but they are also two of the nicest, most genuine people you could wish to meet. The background work on putting together a set list for our evening was meticulous. When we found out that, rather than play our first dance, Jake was learning the whole song to sing it live we were completely blown away and the end result did not disappoint. Soon after our initial meeting we were emailed a playlist to use for our wedding breakfast. The content was spot on and encapsulated the style and theme of the wedding. It was so ‘us’! The mix of live performance and DJ sets in between for the evening entertainment is perfect. Jake’s vocals are so good sometimes it was hard to notice the join. All of our guests remarked on how good these guys were and how well they read the room and kept the party going into the wee small hours. We cannot recommend Jake and Ian highly enough.

I booked Jake and Ian to host a charity event for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, the event was simply amazing from start to finish. Ian was instrumental in supporting this charity event with lots of great ideas and suggestions he really did give me the inspiration I needed to get this event off the ground. On the actual evening itself both Jake and Ian turned up sorted everything out and nothing was too much trouble for them. The evening was a roaring success with some amazing tunes and incredible vocals. The crowd absolutely love the night and I had so many people commenting on how amazing they both were. I cannot recommend Jake and Ian enough they really are two lovely guys are extremely talented. I would not hesitate again in booking them, in fact I cannot wait to host another event so that I can book them again! Thank you for everything you guys did you are both amazing.
