Meet the Act

I started writing when I could hold a crayon. I found my calling in grade school, nailing the leads in our school plays and winning citywide storytelling contest. After failing to make it into the School for the Performing Arts, high school (Fame Movie/TV is based on), I focused more on making money. Having not come from a "silver spoon" upbringing, I needed to make my own way. I parlayed four years at my school job into a business partnership. A delicatessen, straight out of high school. I was independent now ... but not happy! After "exercising" some of my pent up frustration, and landing ... in a legal tussle, I did a reboot, returning to my passions and my calling. I studied writing. After a while of waiting on the returns of queries/submissions, I got bored, and explored my secret desire, to try Stand Up Comedy. It was an Instant Hit and I've been killing since 1989. During the mid-nineties, I did study the Meisner technique of acting, which was helpful in many areas of my life. Sometimes, I wish I had went on more auditions, for I'm confident (now that I'm less self conscious) that I would've nailed some great opportunities.
My biggest passion and driving force, since 1999, has been the blessings of a daughter, and two years later, a son. They have (and do) made my life worth more than I could ever imagine. Read More

Over the course of my career, I've won many Stand Up competitions (Last Comic Standing, Finalist, NBC/Carnival Cruise Line Comedy competition winner/Fade In magazines, "Screen Test," competition winner - including a two page spread, and high end industry exposure/& MORE)
In recent years, I've written multiple scripts for clients, mostly for online shorts.
I've rewritten and punched up five episodes of a sitcom concept, also for a freelance client.
I've maintained a successful blog, and a newsletter. MORE.
As a Market Manager (2022-2023) I created the brands' tag line, wrote multiple ... magazine articles, copy, web pages, designed ALL collateral for our digital artist, cultivated new business, grew their social media presence, simultaneously worked with and for veterans ... and so much more.
As for liability insurance, I don't carry it on a regular basis, but I've attained short term policies when required. Read More
