Biography

Houston born and raised artist; Marion DuBose is a classically trained violinist who transitioned into the Hip Hop, R&B, and Jazz sector with his famous electric violin. Marion’s musical background began when he was a little kid with his older sister, Marea Franklin, who introduced him to the art of violin and then took off from there. Graduated from Baylor University and currently attending Berklee College of Music for MBA in Music Business.

Our group has had the best time with these services, we are actually looking to bring on more entertainment for tonight as well! The violinist Marion was a HIT!! The client called me today to let me know how amazing he was, and I heard a bit of his set too while there and he killed it. I follow him on Instagram and was excited to see him play in person. He is wonderful and came professionally dressed in proper attire.

Marion was amazing as our violinist for our wedding in Mexico! When we met with him to discuss the songs we wanted him to play, he was so accommodating and did not have ANY limitations. Having a Desi wedding with lots of Desi songs, we knew that it would be a new challenge and difficult to transition, but Marion did a fantastic job. He spent hours practicing to make our wedding entrances and welcome parties perfect! The music added such an aura and created the perfect ambiance for our venues and programs. All our guests, even experienced violin players, raved about Marion, and we are raving about him here. Not only was he great at the job, but he was very fun to hang out with and even joined us for a cenote excursion! He was the perfect vendor that we could have hired, meshed well within our group, and now a friend!

Meet the Act

I started playing the violin when I was 10 years old. My older sister is a classical orchestra teacher and taught me first. I picked up the electric violin in high school and played at my first talent show my junior year and haven’t stopped since. I love making music and putting my heart out in every performance!
