I started comedy back in 2003 when I was hired to be a bartender by a owner of a 4 star hotel. Inside the hotel was the high class bar called the Velvet Room. As a bartender, I would interact with the hotel guests and make them laugh. The owner got word on how funny the bartender was and he decided to have comedy night as a added attraction to the hotel. I was asked to host theses comedy shows at first. The owner then decided to introduced me to all of his comedy contacts in the entertainment business. Some were celebrities and others were touring comedians. And the learning process of being f ... unny began. Over the years of meeting celebrity and touring comedians has helped me build my rapport in the comedy business. After 5 years, the owner of the hotel was ready to move on to other things and told me to take over the show. He gave me his contact list of every talent agency and personal numbers of talents in the business that he had.. And I've been running with it ever since. I became more of a comedy promoter at that point in time than a comedian. But then my name was becoming a name within the comedy system that comedians were getting to know. So I started building my own shows and Mspn Entertainment was created.

As a comedian I try to throw punches above my weight class. I've been honored to have shared the stages with comedians like Louie Anderson, Tommy and Shelby Chong, DL Hugely, Paul Rodriguez, Eddie Griffin, Chingo Bling, Jimmy Walker, Steve-O from the TV series "jackass". John Witherspoon from the movies "Fridays". Bob Zany from the Bob and Tom morning radio show, Julie McCullough from the TV series "Growing Pains" and playboy playmate. The lovely Ms. Rain Pryor, the daughter of the late great Richard Pryor. Kevin Farley, the talented brother of the late Chris Farley. And for me one of my favorite shows was when I featured for the very funny Mike Epps in Midland and El Paso Texas. He referred to me as Russel Simmons lol. And I've worked with others like George Lopez, Cedric "The Entertainer" and the late Charlie Murphy to name a few others. Michael Shields is the owner of MSPN Entertainment. He's a promoter of touring and celebrity comedians around the U.S. in the west Texas area. If you have seen one of Mspn Entertainment shows, then you know what fun and laughter is all about. If you haven't seen one of my shows, then you owe it to yourself to go and see a show that'll have you wanting to know when the next one is. I myself is a touring comedian. I was a semi-finalist in Minneapolis Minnesota's "Funniest Person Contest". And in West Texas I was a Finalist in "West Texas Talent Search" contest two years in a row (2016 and 2017). ...
I have performed all over in west Texas and I've preformed in front of my first US military troops at Goodfellow AFB. In Texas I've been in Anson TX, Austin TX, El Paso TX, Abilene TX, Fort Stockton TX, Midland/Odessa Tx & Monahans TX. I was just in a short west Texas tour. Where I started in Gilbert AZ, two shows in San Angelo Texas at Two different location. And fondness up in Wichita Falls Texas. That was from Feb 10th through Feb 19th 2023. I've got my road show March 11th back in Wichita Falls Texas.
