I sang for five or six hours a day during my six years at Caesars Palace and so I would routinely run through 60 to 90 songs a day and work my way through Elvis‘ entire catalog on a regular basis; I love singing these songs, and I absolutely love it when people have song requests, the more obscure the better (although, all things being relative, an ‘obscure’ Elvis song is one that only 50 million people might know). Biography

I am originally from New Zealand and in what sometimes seems like another life was a PhD-level marine biologist, a field researcher diving on coral reefs, for years studying the behavioral ecology of barracudas and then expanding my focus to topics in conservation, still with an emphasis on coral-reef fishes and still with a decided predator bias. A little different than what I do now, although both vocations seem to see me spending a lot of time in hot climates while wearing a formfitting jumpsuit (wetsuit in one instance and Elvis concert costumes in the other) with heavy belts.
I have b ... een engaged in this admittedly, odd profession for a good number of years now and enjoy it at least as much as when I started. I am first and foremost a serious Elvis fan and collector, going back to my youth, but being involved in this kind of work has given me a new angle from which to see the phenomenon that was Elvis Presley and the pretty much universal appeal that he still exerts to this day, that’s almost as remarkable as his continuing ubiquity.
