When Byron and Malcolm began performing the unusual repertory of songs they favor, their friends were quick to suggest that they do it someplace else. That was over thirty years ago, and they’re still inflicting funny and forgotten songs on an unsuspecting public. Their programs typically include material by Flanders & Swann, Noël Coward, and Tom Lehrer, with trips into the lesser-known numbers by Cole Porter, E.Y. Harburg, Randy Newman, and others. Biography

Byron Nilsson is an actor and singer who appeared in many productions with the NYS Theatre Institute, in shows ranging from 1776 and Miracle on 34th Street to Macbeth. He has appeared with the Syracuse Opera, Albany Pro Musica, and the Albany Symphony Orchestra. His play Mr. Sensitivity was featured at the 2009 New York Fringe Festival. As a writer (and former chef), he covered food and the arts for over thirty years for Albany, New York's Metroland magazine, as well as other area periodicals. He is a member of Actor’s Equity, SAG-AFTRA, and the Dramatists Guild.
Malcolm Kogut is skilled ... at playing and writing both popular and sacred music, and, in the latter realm, won the National Association of Pastoral Musicians Musician-of-the-Year Award. He has two CDs of original works to his credit, along with many published piano and choral books. He has played in the pit for shows with all the major Capital Region theater groups; he's also in demand when visiting performers pass through.
