Thank you so much for the experience we had with Terry today. All of the children thoroughly enjoyed the assembly this morning and it was a fantastic opportunity to hear about perseverance and not being afraid to fail! Super message for everyone. The adults loved it too and I was super brave and ended up laying by the ramp for one of the tricks! A once in a lifetime for me!
The Year 5 children also loved their workshops. They all came back smiling and I think they got so much from it. They all came back talking about wanting scooters for Christmas and about trying the tricks when they got home. Also, I noticed lots of red, sweaty faces - so great for their level of activity in the day, as we have lots of children who need encouragement to do physical activity or spend too much time on screens - so hopefully this has inspired them to get out, try something new and push their boundaries.
Overall, a fantastic day and so much to be learnt from Terry - an inspiration.
