My name is Mikey and I am your friendly neighbourhood caricaturist based in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex but gets around everywhere!
He will liven up your event, create a talking point and amuse many - even for hours after he's done!
SWISH SWOOSH ZING! Goes the pen and you are immortalised as a funny picture!
I caricature a person in 5 mins which makes around 12 an hour. I can print a free message or your names and the date onto the paper.
I work best set up in a location where people can come sit for their caricature. I also often get pinned down somewhere (usually uncomfortable) ... so best to be set up in a way that works for me so I can bang out caricature after caricature. I'm a lean mean caricature drawing machine!

I have been hired at many a weddings to amuse guests and give them some thing to take home and keep.
Between the ceremony and the breakfast is usually a time for photos and I have been booked during this time to amuse people while some are having photos. Sometimes my "muses" are taken away for photos but there's usually someone else to jump in.
After the breakfast and before the disco is a quieter time when guests may prop up the bar or go to their rooms to freshen up. It can be a bit of a lull and to have some entertainment during this time which leads into the disco is a good idea.

TIPS FOR HIRING ME AT YOUR EVENTS:
TIP 1:
People aren’t keen on being drawn while they eat so, if possible, try and avoid booking at the same time as the meal. While I do manage to draw a few people during this time it’s not until their bellies are full of food and alcohol that they start to queue up.
TIP 2:
I will need light to see who I am drawing so if you would like me to draw your guests into the first part of the disco that’s not a problem but either don’t dim the lights too soon or arrange with the venue for some light for me.
TIP 3:
I work best set up in a location where people can come sit for their caricature. Roaming doesn’t suit me due to my height (I’m 6’5″ or around 196cm and towering over people makes it harder to draw them) especially when I have had to go around tables during a meal and people keep bobbing their heads down top take another mouthful.

Biography

My name is Mikey and I am a full time freelance caricaturist and illustrator based in Brighton & Hove, East Sussex.
Since I started caricaturing professionally in 2007 I have caricatured people at Warwick Castle, in Birmingham and around the West Midlands, in London and Glasgow and many places in between.
I have drawn caricatures at weddings, birthday parties, retirement parties, baby showers, corporate networking events, corporate expos, company staff treat day, and have attended a few festivals a year as well.
