From Italy she h ... as travel the world, opened for Muse at the O2 Priority Lounge and worked with Diversity on their Up Close And Personal UK Tour. She has worked with Paloma Faith (BBC Proms 2014, BBC Awards), Sigma, Labrinth (TV BAFTAS 2015), Lionel Richie, Gary Barlow (Royal Variety Performance 2013), The Who (US Broadcast), Rita Ora, Sir Tim Rice, producer and composer David Arnold, Coldplay, Diversity(Got To Dance, Invictus Games, Up Close And Personal Tour 2015), Tom Jones, Alfie Boe (VE Day 70) , Geri Halliwell and more.
Siobhan keeps pushing the bands artistic skills forward. An Irish Lead Vocalist, with a soulful voice, bringing a feminine touch and relaxed vibe to the hard hitting beats, she can belt it out with the best of them when the music takes her there! You can listen to her vocals on The Gyro debut album out now, called 'Naked n Xposed'. A second album called 'When a Song Dies' is due for release on 24th feb 2017.
Crossing both worlds of function and original music has given The Gyro discipline and skills hard to find in the music industry. The Gyro is particularly good at putting an added twist to a song, which is normally beyond the reach of a conventional function band.
The Gyro original material is compose by extremely talented writer/producer, DEREK, who's lyrics, inspired from his Caribbean roots, often have a clever, undertone double meaning and a natural thoughtful expression. Everyone can relate to the words, whether you're a hardworking musician or high flying banker. He writes for the people! Derek also plays the bass in the band, raps and performs vocals.
Next, there is our Italian guitarist, DARIO is the secret weapon, his awesome talent gives The Gyro an edge! He has outstanding abilities as a guitar soloist, and he can blend the various sub-genre to create The Gyro unique Funk sound.
The band has an awesome Scottish keyboard/synth sound fx guru 'Kieron'. He is train on the piano and his skills transcends in the wonder sounds of the Gyro funk.
Also there is our fantastically amazing and unstoppable drummer 'Filippo' from Italy. He brings the hard hitting sound to the band, bringing crazy ass beats you could never imagine, yet makes it look as easy as can be. Any style, any tempo, any beat, anywhere... he's there!

Biography

The Gyro headlined last year at London Vault festival 2016 performing over 1 hour of original Funk songs. We Performed at Goffs GFest2016, Londons Camden Rock festival 2016, and performed in many Oxjam festivals. We have 2 original albums out to promote.
