Marcos Aycox arrived in paradisal South Florida in 2020 after spending six years in Mississippi. While in Mississippi, Marcos met his husband. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance, with specializations in Vocal and Violin.
Marcos’ roots take him to Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil, where he was born into a humble family. Inspired by his family’s love for music and the arts, Marcos began to take piano lessons at eight. Marcos’ music direction took a turn after two years of piano lessons when he was introduced to the violin. By the age of 14, Marcos was considered a professiona ... l. His skillset had advanced so much in the short years that he became a music professor in his hometown. Additionally, Marcos began performing at various concert halls, weddings, and orchestras. Marcos’ talent became so widespread that he was booked for many of his state’s most popular wedding and performance bands.
Like many, the music became a safe place. A shelter from the storms of life. He used his talent to pour his heart out to the world – so that they could feel, see, and become inspired by the story in his songs. The art of the violin became not only his safe place but also the vessel for his career.
In 2014, at 18, Marcos was awarded the opportunity to move to the United States to further his skills at the University of Southern Mississippi. The bestowed musical gifts again brought him new adventures. Upon arrival, Marcos knew no English but quickly developed himself into a perfect communicator.
Marcos and his husband Michael live in Wilton Manors, Florida, and have two hyperactive beagles, Artoo & Chewie. Read More
