I’m a proud Haitian at heart, a father of two—one boy and one girl—and a grandfather to two amazing grandsons who keep me grounded and smiling. Family means everything to me, and that same love carries over into everything I do.
Comedy isn’t just something I do—it’s something I live. There’s nothing like seeing people laugh, relax, and forget about life for a moment. That joy, that connection… that’s what keeps me going. I’ve had the blessing to perform all over the Caribbean, on cruise lines, and throughout the United States, bringing my story, my culture, and my energy ... to every stage.
When I’m not on stage, you’ll probably find me on a basketball court or taking pictures and connecting with fans—I truly appreciate every person who supports what I do. I’m also someone who believes in doing right by people. I was raised to be God-fearing, to treat others with respect, and to move with integrity—because at the end of the day, I need to sleep good at night knowing I stayed true to myself.
Right now, I also take care of both my parents—my father at 84 and my mother at 88—and that’s a responsibility I carry with pride. They’re the reason I am who I am today.
And I’m not done yet… one of my biggest dreams is to take this comedy overseas, especially to Europe, and keep spreading laughter across the world. Read More

R-Jay Jean, also known as R-Jay the Haitian Comedian, is a Haitian-American stand-up comedian known for his raw honesty, cultural humor, and island-style storytelling. With Haitian roots and Bahamian and Jamaican influences, R-Jay brings an authentic voice to stages across the U.S. and the Caribbean. Since launching his comedy career in 2007, he has built a loyal fanbase by blending sharp wit, real-life experiences, and the immigrant perspective into hilarious, unforgettable performances.

R-Jay’s comedy explores family dynamics, cultural clashes, relationships, and the Haitian-American experience. His relatable yet fearless style reflects the joys and challenges of growing up Caribbean in America — always with a comedic twist.

He has graced top stages including the Improv (Orlando, Miami, Hollywood, West Palm, Dania Beach, Louisville, Tampa), New York Comedy Club, Carnival Cruise Lines, the Haitian Compas Festival, Best of the Best Festival, Miami Takeover Festival and venues throughout the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

A proud ambassador of Haitian culture in comedy, R-Jay also created and hosted The Comedy Room — one of Broward County’s longest-running independent comedy nights — at Top Chefs Restaurant & Lounge. Over the years, he’s shared the stage with comedy greats like Tommy Davidson, Marvin Dixon, Cedric the Entertainer, Rayzor Raymond Davis, Malik Sanon, Mike Epps, Lavell Crawford, Eddie Griffin, Michael Blackson, Damon Williams, John "Doo Doo Brown" Gordon, George Willborn, Sean Larkins, Huggy Lowdown & Chris Paul, Majah Hype, the late Marcus Combs, Dexter Angry, Tyler Craig, and many more, including beloved HAITIAN KING OF COMEDY the late Papa Pye.
