Meet the Act
My name is Zakiya and I started dancing when I was 10 years old. I trained in ballet and contemporary where I trained under the RAD syllabus and completed up to Advanced 1 in ballet. After graduating university I joined a heels company called Dance with Bloom where I participated in 5 showcases with the company between 2022 and 2024. In 2022, I joined a contemporary dance group called Voices Dance Project where we put together a showcase and I choreographed a contemporary piece and worked with musicians to compose music for the show.
