Do you know what I am thinking? Probably not. But there is a man who probably does, who can tell you whether you are fibbing or not, and who you shared your first kiss with!
On Monday 26th, July Anthony Hawkins, who performs as ‘The Amazing Anthony’, was awarded the title 'Mind Reader of the Year' at a Gala Presentation event hosted and organised by ‘Corporate Livewire’ as part of the Prestige Awards recognition ceremony.
It was held at the former home of the family that founded the Thomas Cook Travel empire. He travelled to Wonersh near Guildford to receive the cut glass trophy ... and certificate.
Having been nominated for this Award by some of his Corporate Clients, the organisers watched videos of Anthony's performances, spoke to previous clients, and amongst other things considered previous positive feedback, his successful book ‘PREP’ and other evidence of his professionalism.
The Amazing Anthony said: It is wonderful to receive this prestigious award, and great to be recognised for my talent as well for my contributions to entertainment after a tough year. I am so looking forward to returning to perform across the country once more and to amaze, mystify and entertain audiences.

‘Corporate Livewires judging panel base their decisions upon such areas as Service excellence, Overall quality, Services provided, Innovative practices, value for money, Ethical methods of working and Consistency in performance’.
The Award marks out Anthony's achievements over a number of years and is another to add to his collection. In 2020 he was also the Regional Winner and National Finalist in the Book Entertainment 2020 Entertainment Awards.
He has a life-long interest in the mystic arts, and gave his first paid performance at the age of eleven!
Anthony is unique in his performance style and background to performing being the son of the late Maud Dagg, who was a highly respected Tarot Reader.
In fact, with his Irish lineage he comes from a long line of Tarot Readers in his family and was colloquially known as ‘The Psychic Policeman’ during his long and varied career within the Metropolitan Police, Criminal Justice system and other policing areas.
Whilst working within these policing roles, Anthony developed his finely-honed knowledge of Body language, Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), Behavioural traits and Psychology.
These tools provided him with the inspiration and material for his previously published book 'PREP', which received critical acclaim from fellow professionals.
Also, using these skills to aid and assist him in his mind reading performances, he utilises them to allow him to read the minds of audience members, influence their thoughts and decisions and for him to become a 'Human lie detector'.
His warm and engaging style certainly hits the spot at Corporate Events, Weddings, Restaurants and Dinner Parties where the clients are talking avidly about their experiences long after he has left the building.
Anthony describes himself as "more David Nixon than David Blaine" and his bywords are “always be polite and courteous with my audience”. As he says "It's all done with kindness".
He is an experienced entertainer, general and close up magician and consummate Mind Reader ‘par excellence’.
He can entertain your guests with Mind Reading and magic, and act as an 'ice-breaker' as guests arrive, putting everyone at ease and bringing people together.
He can also entertain all your guests with a full show or perform Tarot card and other ‘divination’ readings.
